Unlimited budget
Insulation for Pool Area
$17,250
Drywall for Pool Area
$5,200
Insulation for Complete Roof
$50,000 - very rough estimate
Windows
$30,000
Curtains
$1,240
Solar Power
$33,000
Air Conditioners
$4,500 for 10 portable units (2 large, 8 medium)
Unexpected Costs
$8,810
Total
$150,000

This budget would be ideal for The Lighthouse because it would save them a lot of money. This plan allows them to insulate the entire roof which will allow the inside temperature to be resistant to temperature change. Currently a lot of energy is lost from translation of heat through the roof in both the summer and winter. Insulating the pool room will allow them kept the pool room warm in the winter time. Replacing all the old windows would also help allow them to heat and cool the facility more efficiently. Curtains will block the sunlight from heating up the rooms in the summer time. The solar power plan that would be implemented in this plan could potentially allow them to go off the grid. The air conditioners in this plan would allow them to save a lot of money because these units are a lot more efficient than their current units.

$40,000

This plan scaled down model that includes the necessary improvements to make an impact for $40,000. First the only insulation for pool area would be installed because if insulation is installed in there The Lighthouse could use the pool in the winter. Then five or six windows would be replaced as some were in great need of replacement. Curtains would still be purchased for all 31 windows to reduce the heat transfer from the sun through the windows. The solar plan for this budget would only cover the three exhaust fans that need to be installed. Then two large air conditioners and four medium air conditioners would be purchased.

$25,000
Insulation Pool Area
$17,250
Coating of Insulation Pool Area
$3,500
Curtains
$1,240.
Unexpected Costs
4,000
Totals
$25,000

For this plan the pool area would still be insulated but a coating would be sprayed on the foam instead of dry walling over the insulation as it is more cost effective. Then 31 curtains could still be purchased but that is all that a $25,000 budget could provide to fit the wants The Lighthouse has.
